-
To keep a very sharp awareness and understanding of any fundamental
research development, in the field of macroeconomic or financial

quantitative instruments.
-
To be able to transform such fundamental inputs into operational
outputs, for private decision making as well as for public policy
issue debates.
-
To remain as close as possible to its customers in order to fully
grasp their concrete and operational requirements.
- To maintain the highest research and ethical standards,
with a total independence

 | | Major Research Areas | |
- International Economics
TAC’s expertise in international economics ranges from country
risk studies and monitoring tools [to

trade and investment [to read more,

on crises in developing countries (RiskMonitor), customer-specific
country strategy studies looking at medium- to long-term scenarios
in emerging economies, and policy / advisory research. Included
here is the development and programming of integrated web-based
systems / software for country risk monitoring. This expertise
is applied to all developing economies.
- Quants
TAC is among the leading research institutions in the field of
quantitative developments applied to economy and finance. Our
expertise ranges from traditional econometric modelling (macroeconomic
models, financial sector models, fiscal models, international
trade models) to highly sophisticated neural networks or genetic
algorithms, and includes as well the most advanced data-mining
techniques (Self Organizing Maps or Kohonen networks, for instance)
and all the recent non-traditional econometrics (Dynamic Panel
Estimates, Error Correction models, probit-logit models, combinatorial
models).

- Corporate and Financial Analysis
TAC firmly believes in the strong relationship between macroeconomic
performances, background and features, and many microeconomic,
industry or corporate issues. TAC has developed a strong ability
to produce high value added corporate and financial research,
usually in connection with well-identified macroeconomic issues,
be they trade and investment opportunities, competition and policy
regimes, financial markets’ determinants or the international
macroeconomic environment. Our top-down approach can be applied
in four broad areas: industry-specific research, analysis of business
segments behaviour and associated risks, corporate risk / credit
risk research and financial advisory services.
