RiskMonitor is a comprehensive service designed to provide operational and ready-to-use results for companies and institutions involved in developing countries (industrial and service companies, banks and financial institutions, public / government agencies).

The service is based on the following:

• A range of quantitative products available on the Web through a secured access to TAC’s website, providing all the quantitative results of the method (Crisis Signals and Country Ratings) with a monthly update. Such products include Risk_Quant, Risk_Alert, Risk_Screen and Risk_Scoreboard, as well as an “umbrella” product providing access to all web-based tools and results (Risk_QuantPlus).

• Products designed to compare and analyse the risk situation over the whole universe of 59 developing countries, including both the quantitative results of the method, qualitative comments, and comparisons with other measures (from international rating agencies, market-based measures or political / governance measures). Risk_Score and Risk_Warning are included here.

• A specific country-per-country product, called Risk_Diag, where past performances of the country and larger qualitative comments are added to the quantitative results of the method. Risk_Diag is written only on-demand, and comments are tailored to each customer’s specific interest or question on the country.

• Products are provided to customers through annual subscriptions that include any combination of the products available.

• Delivery of products to the customers is highly flexible, in terms of modalities (paper product, e-mail, web access, oral presentation and discussion at the customer’s premises), choice of countries for the Risk_Diag (countries can be selected in the course of the subscription), and schedule (entirely up to the customer’s needs and internal constraints or requests).

• Very large possibilities of customisation, including precise operational outputs (currency hedging, cost of capital, insurance cover, etc.)

A comprehensive package including: (1) a full access to a web-based platform providing all results on 59 different countries, updated monthly, and including qualitative comments, (2) all components of country risk (economic, political, cost of capital), (3) a hot line service with answers to any question / comment within 72-hour, (4) one visit during the year.

A monthly updated visualisation software allowing a permanent monitoring of 59 developing countries, including all quantitative results (Fundamental Balances, Country Ratings, Crisis Signals), graphic representations, and economic and financial indicators.

A tool giving monthly updated synthetic results, for the 59 developed countries monitored, by concentrating the results on Country Ratings regarding three types of economic difficulties and three time-horizons, as well as on the Crisis Signals and Watch List Indications.

An in-depth and refined risk diagnosis on a developing country, including both all quantitative results and qualitative comments that are written “on demand” only and customised comments. RiskDiags are therefore geared towards meeting each customer’s specific interests and operational questions on a given developing country.

A quantitatively based survey of the 59 monitored countries providing a systematic comparison of the degree and nature of country risk. This is completed by a comparison between T-A-C risk measures and market ratings or measures, and by a confrontation between risk levels and business potentials. RiskScore is produced “on demand”.

Provides a thorough examination of the dynamics of risks for the 59 monitored countries, by looking at the changes in all quantitative measures included in the method over the past quarter and past year. The product gives synthetic early warning signals and provides
the most significant changes (improvement as well as deterioration) over three different time period (last quarter, last semester and last year). RiskWarning is produced “on-demand”.
